- Fetzer is the only winery in the world to purchase 100% renewable (green) energy, such as solar, wind and geothermal, for all winery operations.
- Fetzer Vineyards has installed the wine industry’s largest solar array atop its winery bottling facility in Hopland, generating 1.1 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually and supplying 80% of the bottling plant’s electricity needs.
- When our trucks deliver wine they return with needed dry goods, eliminating more than 800 truck trips and nearly 200,000 miles traveled – a fuel savings of 40,000diesel gallons each year.
- our tractors and trucks run on biodiesel fuel (made from vegetable oil). We even provide commuter vans for our employees. These programs have reduced carbon dioxide emissions by well over 2200 metric tons a year.
