Wine Country, as you may imagine it, still exists in Mendocino County at Valley Oaks, the home to Fetzer Vineyards. Peaceful. Unspoiled. Delightfully uncrowded and only two hours north of San Francisco. Nestled in the vineyards  is a charming seven guest room Inn and grand estate house. We’ve made sure that each room is beautifully furnished and features a stunning view of the surrounding vineyards. Your room is equipped with phones, televisions, and seasonal access to a private pool. All rooms have queen beds and private baths.

When you stay at The Inn at Valley Oaks, you can wander through the organic gardens with a glass of wine or shop at the Marketplace & Gourmet Food Shop where you will find Fetzer's specialty olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and dipping oils. A wide selection of gourmet meats, cheeses, tapanades, and soups is also available for those wishing to pack a picnic basket. Many of these items, found nowhere else in the region, would make great gifts as well. We'll even help you with wine pairing ideas here or in our Tasting Room where we offer special reserve wines.

THE CARRIAGE HOUSE

The Carriage House, built in the mid 1800’s, which once housed the wagons drawn by prized draft horses, has six rooms that are tastefully designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind. Each room has modern conveniences, including televisions and phones, and located adjacent to the seasonal pool with surrounding palm trees and vineyards. The downstairs rooms have covered patios with vineyard views, while the two upstairs suites feature dormer windows, cupola skylights, kitchenettes and tiled bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs.

THE VALLEY OAKS COTTAGE

The Valley Oaks cottage is furnished with a queen bed, a sitting area with television, and a spacious tiled bathroom with a European style shower. It has a private wisteria covered patio, lawn area and young redwood grove with beautiful views of vineyards and hillsides. It is located alongside the pathway leading to our five-acre organic gardens.
Rate: $212 single or $220 double per night plus 10% tax

THE HAAS HOUSE

The Haas House is a sprawling estate home built in stages between 1900 and 1948. On spacious grounds with towering Valley Oak trees, the house has the expansive but sequestered feeling of a family estate. An inviting ground floor common area serves the three upstairs bedrooms. The living room has a fireplace, cozy library, and is surrounded by a wrap around porch. The formal dining room leads to a ‘state of the art’ kitchen which overlooks a large dining deck facing our organic gardens.

The Foster Room has a generous bedroom with queen bed, built in writing desk, separate tub and tiled shower with sunset views of Duncan's Peak. The Peck Room has a large bedroom with queen bed, adjoining anteroom and single bed, private bath with claw foot tub, and redwood balcony overlooking the garden. The Haas Room with its lofty ceilings, wrought iron bed, claw foot tub and tiled shower alcove are enhanced by a separate sitting area and a screened outdoor porch which beckons you on breezy summer evenings.

The Haas House can accommodate seven (7) adults comfortably and is perfect for family gatherings, corporate retreats, and special occasions. Our catering and hospitality staff is available to help plan your special visit.
